Attraction and investment, love as a thoughtful choice. I think that i can understand those notions. But yes, as you said : what if love and investment weren’t enough ?
He loves me, he’s caring and will never hurt me, i also love him and treated him in the same way i think. But after years, i feel like we’re taking different paths now. Or i feel like i need something else that he doesn’t want. I understand why he doesn’t want it, i can respect that. But am i ready to let go that “need/wish”, won’t i regret it ? And if i leave him for that, wouldn’t that be stupid ? Hurting him by being kind of “selfish” and won’t i regret it too ? I love him, but i’m not sure how much i’m capable of investing in our relationship anymore. Or maybe it’s nothing and i just need some time to process that if i choose him, i’ll have to “sacrifice” that wish.

just break up with him if it bothers you. You both deserve good partners so don’t hold both of you back from that.
